Hit .600 over the tournament, including a homer as part of his 1.667 OPS. Strong at the point of attack as he stays on balance with solid wrist strength. Works counts very well and does not chase often. Strong to the pull side, showing plenty of pop when he catches the ball out in front. Big body that is starting to fill out with plenty of strength. Kevin Haslam (2025, Pflugerville, Texas) got off to a really hot start for Canes Southwest Premier going 2-2 with a double to the opposite field gap and then followed that up with a grand slam. He drove in 6 runs that game. Haslam starts out more upright in his stance with a big leg raise as he transfers his weight back. He gets into his lower half well and the ball really jumps off his bat. The swing is compact with a quick set of hands. There is definitely strength to all fields and some big-time power potential here. Haslam will continue to be a fun bat to follow as he develops more.
Kevin Haslam SS - 2025 - Pflugerville, TX
Haslam moves with lots of athleticism defensively from multiple spots. Very savvy glove work from both the infield and outfield. The arm plays with above average carry. He put together a loud round of batting practice with his rhythmic swing. Carried it over to in game action well where he roped a double down the line to left. Tools graded out very well across the board.
Kevin Haslam (2025 SS, Pflugerville, TX) took one of the better rounds of the group putting the bat speed and strength on display getting separated and really turning the barrel over with big intent to produce some of the hard pull side contact of the day.
Kevin Haslam (2025 SS, Pflugerville, TX) was once again another that was impressive in BP that translated it to game action. He had a loud 2B late in the game that was par for the course in his BP as he has tons of physicality with translates to both quickness in the stroke and hard line drive contact all over the field while getting separated and really getting into it.
Kevin Haslam is a SS/C/UT with a 6-0 178 lb. frame from Pflugerville, TX who attends Hendrickson. Athletic build with present definition to both halves. Ran a 6.80 in the 60-yard dash. Impressed in both infield and outfield drills with feel for the leather. Crisp transfers and above-average carry to throws on one hoppers in the grass and good amounts of arm across on the dirt. Fluid arm action and over-the-top release, good mover and athleticism shows. Also pitched as a right-handed pitcher, compact and in-line delivery from high three-quarter slot. Mixes slots and tempos from sidearm and over the top, fastball reached low-80s with some life and broke off a slurvy breaking ball. Ease to delivery with solid command of both. Right-handed hitter, even base and open stance with deep leg lift load. Leverages well and lets the barrel work. Creates quality separation and turns it over with plenty of intent. Strength to the pull side showed in game and real snap in the finish. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
